The short version
This website collects nothing about you. There are no analytics, no cookies, no tracking pixels, no embedded third-party scripts and no forms. Nothing you do on this site is recorded by us.
Why there is so little to say
The site is a set of static files. There is no database and no application server behind it — the pages, fonts and images are the whole of it. That removes most of what a privacy policy normally has to describe.
Hosting
The files are served by our hosting provider, which keeps standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and reliability. We do not query those logs to build a picture of individual visitors.
When you contact us
The contact links open WhatsApp, your phone's dialler, or your email client. At that point you are using that service, not this website, and its privacy policy applies to the message in transit.
Once a message reaches us we keep it so we can reply and, if we work together, plan your wedding. We do not sell it, share it for marketing, or add you to a list you did not ask to join.
Wedding details are private by default
Dates, venues, guest lists and family details stay between us and the vendors who need them to do their part. We do not publish a wedding, name a couple, or post photography from a celebration without explicit permission — and permission for one thing is not permission for everything.
Photography
Every image currently on this site is generated art direction rather than photography of a real wedding, which is explained in full in our terms. Real photography appears only with the couple's written consent and the photographer's licence. Where we are given images, we strip embedded metadata before publishing, because camera files routinely carry the GPS coordinates of private venues.
Your choices
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@theweddingstory.example and we will deal with it.
